In this letter to first-year medical students, I invite them to reflect on what kind of doctor they want to become and what that might mean for their future LGBTQ+ patients. I offer advice and ideas to bring into their medical education that’s grounded in my knowledge and experience as an LGBTQ+ health advocate.
